New Zealand Herald Office, Wednesday evening. The Customs duties to-day amounted to £3100 Is 9d; Tuesday's, £40/2 4s 9d. SYDNEY PRICES CURRENT. Messrs. Jakins and Co., Sussex-street, Sydney, report under date January 3 Our market is overstocked with all New Zealand produce, with the exception of potatoes, which are fetching extreme rates. Chaff is pouring in from all the colonies. Butter is coming in from New Zealand alone at the rate of 2000 packages per week, which has caused sales to be very difficult to effect, Rains have fallen generally all over the colony, and grass is now plentiful. Maize, rising, 33 7d; oats (heavy short), heavy stocks, 4s; oats (medium), heavy stocks, Ss 9d ; oats (Tartarian), 3s 9d ; wheat (Tuscan), 5s 2d ; wheat (fowl wheat), 4b ; bran, stocks heavy, iod to lid; sharps, stocks heavy, 10d to lid; potatoes (New Zealand), market very bare, £15 ; onions, £15; chaff, overstocked, £5 10s to £6 10s; butter (fresh potted in Pond's boxes), very dull, Is to Is 2d; butter (best keg), 10d to Is; butter (medium), 7s to 8s ; cheese, 8d; eggs, Is.
