AUCKLAND COLLEGE AND GRAMMAR SCHOOL. At tto Choral Hall on tho 13th December,

the ainual distribution of prizes, won by the toys and girls attending the Auckland Collate and Grammar School, took placo in the presence of a largo assemblage of tho pupis and their friends, the hall bein" deccrated for tho occasion with flowers and grefnery. Cblonel Haultain occupied the chair, anc on tho platform were the Rev. C. M. Ne'son, MA., Messrs. J. H. Upton and G. P. Pierce, Mr. C. F. Bourne M.A. (headmister), and the assistant masters. Proceedings wore opened by the Chairman, who, in a lengthy speech, reviewed tlo progress made by tho school during tho yjar. ST. MARY'S, PONSONBY. Prizes were presented on Dec. 19 to tho pupils of St. Mary's Convent Schools, Ponsonby. The proceedings opened with a very enjoyable entertainment by the pupils, Bishop Luck and Fathers Egan, Downey, O'Gara, Lenihan and Mahoney, and a large number of parents and friends being present. At the close of the entertainment the prizes were distributed by Bishop Luck, the following being the award list: —
