THE SEARCH FOR PROFESSOR BROWN.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— PRKSS ASSOCIATION.]
Bluff, Thursday. Tites.s. Omapere and Stella arrived to-day. The Omapere left Greymoutli on tho 17th and arrived at Thomson's Sound on the 19th in search of Professor Brown. Went to the head of Smith Sound, lit fires and left newspapers at the hut and provision depot. Landed a party, but they found no traces after eight hours'search. The Stella sailed at ten a.m. for DecpCovo, whoro Mr. J. White, Mr. Begg, and Dr. Roberts will continue the search.
Dunedin, Thursday. Mr. White has telegraphed from tho Bluff :—-"Thes.s. Omapere arrived here as daylight, after having waited eight hours at Deep (love. A party was sent ashoro and found the provisions intact. No signs of Professor Brown. Tho s.s. Stella leaves for Deep Cove at ten o'clock this morning. Tho relief party will make tho Saddle if possible.
