THE SEARCH FOR PROFESSOR BROWN.
RETURN OF MITCHELL'S PARTY.
NO TRACE FOUND. [BY TELEGRAPH, —FUESS ASSOCIATION.]
DuNEDix, Wednesday. Mitchell's party have returned from tho search for Professor Brown, having found no trace of him. They did not go across the saddle.
The Daily Times search party, under Mr. Mackenzie, managed to patch up the boat, and wore well up the lake when they met Mitchell's party returning. The Times party decided to go on and continue the search after exchanging boats. Mr. Mitchell states that the saddle is under snow, and he considers it impossible that Brown could have got over it to Peep Cove. Mr. White and two others left by the Stella this afternoon for Smith Sound. The steamer will call in at tho Bluff to-day, when the party will be informed of the nonsuccess of Mitchell's party.
