THE EQUITABLE INSURANCE ASSOCIATION.

[by TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Friday. At a meeting of the Dunedin shareholders of the Equitable Insurance Association, held to-night, to consider the report of the committee appointed to enquire into the position of the company's affairs, with a view to advise shareholders generally as to the best course to pursue in the company's present position, the report submitted by tho chairman recommended very strongly to carry on business as the best course in the interest of the shareholders, and a resolution to this effect was carried unanimously. It was resolved to communicate the decision to the shareholders in other parts of the colony, and secure their concurrence.
