Last evening late the well-known trading schooner Queen, Captain Jones, arrived from Hokianga. She crossed the bar there on the2()th at midnight, and had fresh south-west winds up the coast. She brings a cargo of 100 sacks gum, 25 hides, 1 bale wool, 8 tons bark, 100 posts, 20 bags fungus, and sundries. The agents and stevedore of the American barque Rebecca Crowell deserve credit for the prompt despatch they have given the vessel since she started to take in her outward cargo on Monday last. She finished loading on Thursday, and has now on board 45805 cases of gum, which are valued at the considerable figure of £20,128. Captain Bray had his vessel towed into the stream yesterday afternoon by the tug Awliina, but will not sail till earlv on Monday. At the Railway Wharf the Island steamer Richmond was busily engaged yesterday in fillip',ting her usual heterogeneous cargo for the regular ports of call, and by nightfall bar'i the bulk of it safely stowed. She will be cleared to-day, and sail in the afternoon. Early yesterday the Northern S.S. Co.'s tJlansman got in from Russell and tiie North. Her passengers'names are given above, and her freight consisted of 230 sacks and 11 cases gum, 57 bales wool, 3 horses, and sundries. Ihe s.s. ——————1 i Early yesterday the ship Wairoa was towed • ' out into the stream from the berth which I she has been occupying at the Queen-street Wharf to be in readiness to sail for London at daybreak this morning. She has under hatches a full, varied, and valuable cargo of | colonial products as detailed above, the chief items being gum to the value of about tBOOO, flax £1300, and wool £'2800. During their stay in port Captain and Mrs. Bungard and the officers of the Wairoa have made themselves manv friends, who will all unite in wishing the good ship a pleasant and prosperous voyage home.
