THE VOLUNTEER SCANDAL.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, Thursday. The officers of the Scottish Rifles have decided to request Colonel Lean to order an inquiry into the independent and volley firing of the company on Saturday last, when the corps was disqualified on account of the shots counted on the targets exceeding the number of cartridges issued to the men of the squad firing.
