SHIPMENTS OF FROZEN MEAT FROM AUCKLAND.
Mr. W. B. A. Mokrisojt, acting manager of the Frozen Meat and Storage Company, furnishes us with the following information: —The New Zealand Frozen Meat and Storage Co. (Limited) has now definitely arranged with tho shipping companies for two shipments of frozen meat from this port. The first shipment will be made per s.s. Tainui next. January, and the second per s.s. Kaikoura during the month following. In view of the recent advance in price, as well as increased demand for New Zealand meat, in the English markets, and as the consignments by these vessels will be landed at a favourable season on the London market, it i« confidently anticipated that shippers will have no cause to regret their enterprise. Space for 300,0001bs of meat has been engaged in each steamer, and it is to be regretted that the shipping companies were unable to grant, a larger reserve of space for Auckland, the stockgrowers having responded so liberally to the circulars issued by tho New Zealand Frozen Meat and Storage Co. (Limited) that the guarantees of .stick which the company now holds would enable it to increase the shipments very considerably if additional space could lie obtained.
