PETTY THEFTS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I notice in your issue of this date Mr. W. T. Raymond was a victim to some petty thief who took his girths and stirrupirons. I may state that at Messrs. Hunter and Nolan's market on Tuesday last some person took one rein and breastplate-rings off my bridle. It is not only the loss, but] the danger of riding home without a second girth. lam of opinion with Mr. Raymond that a detective might make an example of the person who would stoop to do so mean an action. —lam, &c., J. Fisher.
