. The deaths of persons not' residents of the boroughs occurring at hospitals have been excluded in all cases: The total births in the above boroughs amounted to 433, against 457 in August, a decrease of; 24.;; The deaths in September were 159, a decrease of 11 on the number for August. Of the total deaths, males contributed 93, females 60. 47 of the deaths were of children under five years of age, boing 29.56 cent, of the whole number; 35 of these were under one year of age. -;; ~ ~ ,;^;,:/
