A new glass is reported from Sweden. Ib contains among other things phosphorus and boron, and its refractive power is said to be very great, far superior to the glass now used for microscopes. The now celebrated J A, Beehive, Cow, Star, Fern, and other choice, brands of fresh butter can be obtained at the London Dairy Co.'s Depots, Victoria-street and Mount Eden Eoad. What Shall I Drink?— The Lancet says :—" We have tested the Montserrat Linie-fruit Juice, and found it sound and free from adulteration. It is a far more wholesome drink than any form of alcohol."
