ECCLESIASTICAL.

At St. Paul's to-morrow the incumbent is announced to preach in the morning on the subject of "Disloyal Christians." The preacher in the evening is the Rev. J. S. Hill. Holy Communion will be administered both at S a.m. and at mid-day, and Holy Baptism at 4 p.m. The anthem at evensong is Scott's " Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem."

At St. Matthew's to-morrow evening the incumbent will deliver an address entitled " Confirmed in Confirming,'' mainly addressed to the younger members of the Church ; the service commences at 6.30; the morning service, morning prayer, and Holy Communion, with sermon, at 11 a.m. Services will take place as usual at All Saints' (Ponsonby Road), and at St. Thomas' (Union-street). "God's Plantation" is the title of the sermon to-morrow morning, at St. Peter's, Surrey Hills. At the Pitt-street Wesleyan Church tomorrow, the Rev. E. Best will preach in the morning, and the Rev. C. H. Garland in the evening. The customary services will be held in the Grafton Road, Mount Albert, and St. John's Wesleyan Churches. Pastor Gilmore will preach on " A Question Never Answered,' at the Ponsonby Baptist Church. At the City Hall the usual evening service will be held.

" The First Death Penalty; Was it Inflicted ?" is the title of Mr. Aldridge's lecture to-morrow evening at the Church of Christ, Foresters' Hall.

" Dr. Guthrie " is the biographical study to be dealt with to-morrow afternoon at the Y.M.C.A. by the Rev. J. S. Hill. At the Newton Congregational Church tomorrow, Pastor H. J. Lewis will preach on "The Transfiguration of Christ" and "Christ's Warrior Priests."

Mr. Lewis leaves on Wednesday for a few weeks to represent the Congregational Union of New Zealand at the jubilee of the Victorian Union at Melbourne.

At the Beresford-street Congregational Church to-morrow evening the Rev. J. Chew will give his last lecture on " Ideal Womanhood." At the Franklin Road Primitive Methodist Church to-morrow the Rev. C. E. Ward will preach in the morning on "God, a Spirit," and in the evening on "A Shepherd called to be King." At the Alexandra-street Church the Rev. A. J. Smith will preach morning and evening. At the Pitt and Edwin-street Church Mr. D. Goldie, M.H.R., will preach in the evening. St. Mary's Cathedral Church will be consecrated by the Right Rev. Bishop Harper, Primate of New Zealand, to-morrow morning. The offertory will be in aid of the building, fund. The consecration will be at 11 a.m., children's service at 3 p.m., and festal evening song at 6.30.
