[BY TELEORAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thamks, Thursday. The members of the Thames Borough Council to-night resolved to forward the address intended as a presentation to Mr. Larnach to Colonel Fraser, for exhibition in the lobby of the House. Colonel Fraser will in turn forward it to Sir James Heotor at Melbourne, to present to Mr. Larnach. A Mr. Palmer has arrived here from Mel bourne, to report on the Paroquet Gold Mining Company's property, Waiomo, previous to its sale being completed. A meeting of the members of the Thames Borough and County Councils, and other persons interested, will be held to-morrow afternoon, to consider the following telegram from Mr. A. J. Cadman, M.H.R., re the proposed leasing of the Thames-Wai - kato railway : —" Ford applying to lease railway line. I am recommending, unless Government open the line themselves, to either accept the offer, provided good sureties can be given, or else oiler the line to any responsible person or company, rent; free, providing the line is worked under Vaile's system. Advise me if this is likely to give satisfaction to the Thames people." At the Warden's Court the following applications were granted to-day : — For licensed holdings at Marototo, A. Gibb, Silver King ; D. B. McDonald, Silver Corner; H. C. Wick, Grand Junction ; R. Blair, Kowhai : C. Forrester, The Appeal ; J. A. James, Silver Star, Whangamata; A. Buckland, Buckland's Freehold, Puriri; 0. F. Graham, Dawn of Hope, Puriri; G. Neild, amalgamation of Hconsea, Puriri; C. W. Curtis, Sydney, Waiomo; J. B. Steodman, Paroquet No. 2, Waiomo; C. Manuel, Goldfinch, Waiomo ; J. B. Smith, Shotover, Karangahake; Same, Silver King, Karangahake ; an exchange of title ■was also granted to the Cambria Gold Mining Co.
