Inwards Coastwise.—Elsie, ketch, with 6.000 feet of timber from Thames ; Terarawa, cutter, with f>3 tons coal from Russell; ; Hauturu, scow, with 45 tons firewood from Omaha. The barque Coulnakyle was floated into the Auckland Dock at an early hour yesterday morning, aud immediately on her being ehored up a large gang of workmen began the work of stripping her copper and taking her thamplates and other ironwork off, preparatory to starting caulking. After a long sojourn in the stream, the barque John Knox has been disposed of by her owners to the Union S.S. Co., who intend to use her as a coal hulk. She is now alongside the railway wharf being dismasted fov the purpose. The schooner Welcome yesterday had her foremast lifted out for repair. ' Yesterday afternoon the brigahtine Ika "Vuka was cleared out at the Customs for CJreymouth, whither she will probably sail to-day in ballast. .Shortly after noon yesterday the Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Wairarapa took her departure for the South and Melbourne. She took a fair number of passengers and a general rargo. A considerable number of people assembled to witness the departure of the Bteamer, and, as she sheered off from the jetty, a number of friends who had come clown to wish Mr. D. J. McLeod " Good-bye," gave that popular citizen three hearty cheers 4us a send Oj'f. A Wellington telegram says :— The work of Launching the stranded barque Weathersfield will be commenced at once, and a portion of the necessary gear has already been Bent up." Last night the s.s. Ohau arrived about 8.30 from th« South with a cargo of breadstuff's and produce and several passengers. Mr. Siegel, purser, reports that she left Oamaru on the sth August, at 1 a.m. ; arrived at Napier on the 7th at 2 a.m. ; left the same day at 3.30 m., and arrived at Gisborne on the Bth at 2 a.m. She sailed the same day at 8 j,.m., and reached Tauranga on the 9th at 6 a.m., leaving at 8 a.m., and arrived at Auckland as above. Experienced light and fresh variable winds, with moderate and Btnooth sea throughout passage.
