[r-RESS ASSOCIATION".] London, July 31. Surrey continued their first innings against the Australian eleven to-day, and were all out for 135, Key 46, Lohmann 22, being the principal scorers. Jones, the Australian cricketer, has quite recovered from his recent severe illness, and will play with bis eleven in the match against Kent, at Canterbury, on Monday next. The following was the bowling analysis of Surrey's first innings : —Turner, 5 wickets for 52 ; Wood, 4 for 41; Ferris, 1 for 38. The Australians only scored £32 in their first innings, the wicket boin": in wretched condition. Turner played a capital innings. The following was the score :— Bannerman, 2; McDonnell, 1; Trott, 14; Turner, 23; Bonnor, 0 ; Woods, 0 ; Edwards, 1 ; Ferris, 5 ; Worrall (not out), 1 ; Boyle (run out), 2 ; Jarvis, 3 : total, 52. The Colonials followed on, and when the stumps were drawn had lost two wickets for 33, towards which McDonnell contributed a dashing 23 ; Bannerman (not out), G; Bonnor (not O'.;.t), 4 ; Trott, 0.
