THE DOCTOR AND THE PATIENT.

[by telegraph—own correspondent.]

Hamilton, Friday. H. P. McPherson, a paralytic, sent down to the Canadian doctors at the cost of subscribers for that purpose, bought a bottle of stuff, and got a consultation ticket from Madame Duflot. Ho writes yesterday to Mr. N. R. Cox, who had his case in hand — " I have seen the doctor, and he says that the ticket that I have was only a bit of waste paper, and he said he not cure nie for nothing, and said lie could do me good if I would buy a dozen bottles of the medicine, and lay out £4 10s, and when I told him I could not lie said he was not Jesus Christ, to cure for nothing."
