SUPPOSED SUICIDE OF A WOMAN.

[by TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Masterton, Monday A painful case of supposed - suicide by drowning has occurred at Mangamahoe. Annie Kate Long, the wife of a Masterton settler, had been engaged nursing at Mangamahoe. She left a house there on Friday morning, and not returning a 'search party was instituted, and found her slippers on the bank of the river yesterday three miles from the house. The river was dragged and the body recovered. An inquest is being held to-day.
