THE SHOP HOURS BILL.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Dokedin, Wednesday. TnE supporters of early closing have wired to Mr. Joyce, M.H.R., re his amendments in the Bill. The proposed amendments entirely defeat the purpose of the bill, and the Committee cannot support a measure which does not apply to all parts of the colony and to all shops, but those originally excepted, with the addition of fruiterers and fishmongers.
