ONEHUNGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The adjourned meeting of the above Council was held in the Council Chamber last night, when there were present:—Hi« Worship the Mayor (Dr. W. R. Erson), and Messrs. Goldsbury, Hill, Burden, Tapp, Jackson, Shaldrick, and Clark.
Mr. Henshaw's Death.—Prior to the business of the Council being proceeded with the Mayor drew attention to the sudden demise of Mr. Henshaw, who was a public officer, and who was also a Press representative, and expressed regret at the occurrence.
Vehicle Accident. — Some discussion arose anenb the claim of Mr. Smith for compensation for the breaking of the spring of his cart owing to a hole in the road, and it was finally resolved nob to recognise any liability in the matter. Hedge Obstruction.The overgrowth of hedges was considered, and it was resolved, "That labour be employed to remove the overgrowth abutting 011 the road, and charge the cost against the property, as the owner had not recognised the Council's notice."
Planting Reserves.—The Mayor moved, "That the Reserves Committee consider the best means of planting a portion of the Recreation Reserve." Mr. Shaldrick seconded the motion, which was agreod to.
