THE POINT RESOLUTION PURCHASE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.]
Wellington, Tuesday. I understand that the Government are disposed to accord Sir George Grey a committee, but as one has already reported on the subject, he is not hopeful of any good coming out of it. The Government are willing to let Sir George introduce a Bill to remedy matters, if it is possible, but they are not willing to make it a Government measure.
