THE WHANGAREI-KAMO RAILWAY.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —As Mr. Vaile says the net revenue has no bearing upon tb „ question, ] suppose further discussion must be futile. Still, I may reply that even 'if uniform fares should pay well upon a stag - of -even miles, it does not follow that it would o&v upon one of fifty miles ; whereas it docs follow that if ; * pays badly upon a short st.if. 3 it must pay worse upon a longer one.— .',m, etc., Kaho. P.S. —I was misinformed about the old fares, and apologise to Mr. Vaiie for my mistake. This, however, has 1.0 bearing upon mv argvof»at, to which Mr. Vaile has nob replied.
