WHO TAXES US ?

Sir,A day or two ago I went to purchase an article at one of our hardware shops, which I knew had been selling for 7« 6d a couple of months since. I was told that the price was 9s. On my remonstrating I was reminded that a new tariff had come into operation. The Government tax us an additional 5 per cent, and the tradesman makes it 20. —I am, &c., H.
