Captain Aldrich, of H.M.s. Egeria, inspected Mr. Holmes' patent collision apron yesterday morning, at Mesare. Cruickshank and Co.'e. He expressed himself as highly pleased with the invention, but he had an impression that the idea was not a new one. The Industrial Association, for whose benefit the Jacobite concert was given on Friday night by the Burns Club, desire to acknowledge the servicesof Messrs. Reid and Davidson s band. Their valuable addition to tho entertauuueut was given gratis. . 5
