THE CHARGE AGAINST A NATIVE AGENT.
[by telegraph.—own corrkspondent.] Taurakga, Friday. The first case against David Asher, Native Agent—a charge of obtaining £15 by alleged misrepresentation in connection with tho sale of the Papamoa Block—was concluded to-day, and although judgment was reserved until after the hearing of the second charge the Bench intimated that they were of opinion that there was a case to go before a jury. The second case is proceeding.
