MASONIC INTELLIGENCE.
LODGE REMUERA, 1710, E.C. The installation of the W.M. and officers of the above Lodge took place at the Masonic Hall, Remuera, last night. There was an attendance of 130 brethren, amongst those present being Brothers P.M.'s. Bedford, Cooper, Hewson, Claude, Hanna, Powley, Suiter, Wright, Wade, Carlaw, Vosper, Craig, Walker, Gill, and Brother McLennan, W.M. Lodge Star in Far South; Brother Hedley, W.M. Lodge Eden ; Brother Anderson, W.M. Lodge Ponsonby, and officers Brother Olive, W. M., Lodge Waitemata and officers. Brother Macrae, W.M. Lodge St. Andrew, and officers; Brother Martin, W.M. Lodge Prince of Wales, and officers; Brother A. Kidd, I.P.M. Lodge Ara; Brother M. Niccol, : S.G.M., S.C. Brother Lodder, D.D.G.M. Grand Lodge, E.C., and officers. Brother l Esam, M., acted as installing master in the absence of Brother Kempt, and after the lodge had been raised to the third degree, and the Lodge of Installed Masters formed, the ceremony of installing Brother John Coom was efficiently performed .by the installing master. Brother Coom, the newly-installed W.M., then invested the following brethren as his officers for the ensuing year :—Brother Shepperd, S.W. ; Brother Cooper, P. M., Secretary ; Brother Edgerley, J.W.; Brothers James, Crowe, and Laßoche, Stewards ; Brother Nicholson, Tyler. Owing to the absence of the brethren, the investiture of the following officers was postponed :Brother W. R. Walker, J.W. ; Brother Ree« George, P.M., Treasurer ; Brother Charles Hesketh, P.M., Organist; Brother Grainger, I.G. The working tools were then presented by Brothers Hewson (P.M.), Cooper (P.M.) and Claude (P.M.), and the charge co the W.M. was delivered by Brother Cooper, P.M. ; that to the Wardens, bv Brother Bedford, P.M., after which Brother Esam, Installing Master, impressively rendered the charge to the brethren. Apologies were received from Brothers Moat and Clark, P.M.'s, and Brother Evans, W.M., Lodge Ara, and several others. The lodge was then closed with solemn prayer. The brethren then adjourned, at the invitation of the W.M., to the upper room, where a most sumptuous repast awaited them, the usual toasts being given and received with honors. A most pleasant evening was spent.
