THE WAIPU RACES.

[BY TELEGRAPH.own correspondent.]

Waipu, Thursday. The Waipu Jockey Club held their autumn meeting here yesterday, under the most unfavourable circumstances. The stewards met in the evening and settled up with stakewinners, which is a thing almost unprecedented in the annals of the racing club. There were seven events on the programme, and the following were the results : — Hack Hurdle Race, one mile and a-half. —P. King's Farmer, 1;D. M. McLeod's Corsair, 2.
