Gairloch, s.s., McArthur, for Waitara. Passengers : Mesdames Dalziel, Wildman, Mason, Martin, Messrs. Codings, R. S. Mackay, D. H. McKay, Workman, Best, Jones, Smith, Adams, Andrews, Good, and 10 steerage.— Barnes, agent. IMPORTS. Per s.s. Penguin : 145 sacks barley, 23 cases 40 kegs butter, 4 cases drapery, 3 packages machinery, and 4 packages. EXPORTS. Per s.s. Gairloch : 83 bags sugar, 3 kegs nails, 2 cases corrugated iron, 30 sash weights, 17 sheets iron, 3 cases bedsteads, 3 cases drugs, 1 cask molasses, 14 bags rice, 20 bundles hoop iron, 2 cases saddlery, 10 boxes soap, 7 cases tea, 10 cases fruit, 6 boilers, 20 cases shellfish, 1 crate crockery, 1 case piano, and 73 sundry packages. The Union Co.'s s.s. Penguin, 749 tons, Captain George Allman, arrived in harbour at 8 o'clock yesterday morning. She left Wellington at 3.10 p.m. on the 24th, and arrived at New Plymouth at 7 a.m. on the 25th; left again for the Manukau at 9.25 a.m., and crossed the bar at 6.20 a.m. on the 26th, arriving as above. Experienced fine weather throughout. The Northern Co.'s s.s. Gairloch, for Waitara and New Plymouth, took her departure at 1 o'clock yesterday.
