THE PETANE HOTEL BURNED DO WN.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Napier, Saturday. Petane Hotel was destroyed by fire last night, nothing being saved. The proprietor, his family, and the boarders narrowly escaped with their lives ; and one boarder had to throw himself out of an upper window, and was caught in a blanket. The insurances are all in the Union office, as follows •—Hotel, £2000 ; furniture and stock, £1000
