London, February 22. Twenty-seven trains with Russian troops entered Bessarabia yesterday.
We are indebted to Reuters Agency for the following : — London, February 22. The massing of Russian troops on the Galician frontier still continues, and it is stated that, in a month hence, the troops already stationed there will be reinforced by 100,000 more.
London, February 22. A Russian Note has been issued requesting Germany and Austria to advise the Sultan to demand the departure of the usurper Prince Ferdinand from the throne of Bulgaria. The Note does not imply that recourse will be had to force.
St. Petersburg, February 22. In the note to the Powers, the Czar declares that the position in Bulgaria is dangerous to the peace of Europe, and the immediate deposition of Prince Ferdinand is urged. The Czar promises that if Austria withdraws her objections to this course the Russian forces on the Galician frontier shall be immediately withdrawn. . St. Petersburg, February 23. It is understood that the _ Russian troops on the frontier will be increased by 100,000 men in a very short time.
