[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Monday. Mk. Aitken, county engineer, informs mo that he Mas highly pleased with the show in the Maori claim atPuriri. About '25 feet down a shaft there is a reef two feet wide, and another some inches wide. The latter is very rich.

Cambria.—The main reef at No. 4 drive is being extensively stripped for a breakingdown in the course of a few days. Samples of the reef taken from the junction with the hangingwall drive, can be seen at the company's office. Trenton.—The lode in the face of the drive is now a well-defined body of quartz of the most promising description, and is about IS inches wide. The country in the face now being stripped for an early break-ing-down is kindly sandstone, favourable for gold.
