BURGLARY AT DEVONPORT.
A PUBLICAN'S BED-ROOM ENTERED.
ROBBERY OF JEWELLERY. An audacious robbery was committed at tho Flagstaff Hotel, North Shore, some time on Saturday night, when Mr. Corcoran, proprietor of the hotel, was eased of his gold watch and chain. Mr. M. Corcoran had been at the races, rehiring to his hotel after the last race, and he retired to his bed-room at 11 o'clock, and laid his vest on his dressing table. This contained his gold watch and chain, and some pendants attached, and when he woke in the morning, at six o'clock, he found that the vest was there, but tho watch, chain, and pendants had bean abstracted. The watch is a very valuable one. The chain is also unique and showy, and the pendants possess ! many peculiarities. Mr. Corcoran communicated with the police, who are now | making inquiries, but no clue has yet been t obtained.
