On Monday the grocers' annual picnlo is to be held at M'otu I hi. The tickets are selling rapidly, and a large gathering is expected. To avoid discomfort, intending visitors should be in time, as over 200 were left behind last year. It has been arranged that either the or Oeprey will convey the party to the island, where ample arrangements will be made for the comfort and amusement of all. To avoid any difficulty in binding, the boat will leave Queen* street Wharf at a quarter to nine a.m., so that the landing can be effected while the tide it high. A band will accompany the party ; and, as ticketholders will have the preference, tickets should bo secured beforehand,
