A SAD AFFAIR.
Melboornb, January 3. A SAB occurrence took place about two miles from Mordialloo this morning. Mrs. Crooke, wife of Mr. J. R. Crooko, a well-known owner of raoehorses, went to bathe on tho beach. Two little sons and another lad were bathing a ehort distance away. Aftor a time one of the boys said, "I don't see mother." Tho ladb wont to look for Mrs. Crooke, and found her lying insensible in tho water. They dragged her out and gave an alarm. Every nicaua of resuscitation was tried, but without avail.
