THE CONFERENCE AT NELSON.
IbT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Nelson, Wednesday. At the Secondary Schools Conference to-day it was resolved that the Senato of the University be respectfully requested to give every encouragement to high schools by cheapening and localising matriculation and junior scholarship examinations, so that they may be used to test the work in tho fifth and sixth forms. To-morrow the Conferenoe adjourn* till next year at Christchuroh, when the Principal of the Auckland College will be present.
