Bedford and Wright, of Puriri, are crushing a trial lot from their claim. I have seen several pieces of stone therefrom containing strong colours of gold. The leader is about six inohes. Wright informs me that the Maoris, Murray and party, are working on quartz—viz., two little leaders about two inohen wide down aa old shaft, and have about lowt of selected stone. They are also testing a olayey formation, which shows gold freely in the dish. Trbnton.— Taere are three branches in the taoe, naking a total of about 18 inohes of quartz. Gold suo«7» free'y, and everything looks exoeediogly'promising.
Pakkoa, Thursday. Thames Obks foe Kvtidve. — The e.e. Kotuku takes to-morrow, from Meaen. Paillipa and Son, Paero«, 12 tons of Kenil» worth ore for London and 7i tons for Frieb#?g; from Mr. D. R. Oellion, 5 tone of Koniiwort'j ore for Fneberg ; and from Mr. H. C. Wick, 10 toua Maritoto ore, for Frieberg.
Cambria.—The mine manager wired yeaterday :—"10Ib picked stone from sixth s'ope weit on No. 6 leader." Later: "20lb piclced atone from aixth etope west on No, 6 leader,"
