LORD LANSDOWNE'S SUCCESSOR. London, November 6. It is reported that Colonel Stanley succeeds the Marquis of Lansdowne as Governor-General of Canada.
GERMAN IMPORT DUTIES.
London, November 6.
The German Agricultural Council have approved of an increased duty of six marks on wheat and three marks on oats and barley, and it was resolved, as soon as opportune, to prohibit the import of grain.
