A DEPUTATION of his supporters waited on Mr. Bevan 011 Saturday, and alleged that the provisions of the Corrupt Practices Act had been contravened in many ways, and requested him to take steps to have Mr. Grimmond unseated. Two hundred pounds hail been subscribed for the purpose, and more money would be forthcoming if necessary. Mr. Bevan in reply said he felt he could not take steps under the circumstances, though he was (-atisfied that, roll-stuffing, pe>sanation, double voting, bribery, etc,, had been carried on.
