TO THB KDIrOR. Sir,— am quite in accord with your contributor "Colonus, 1 ' re tbe ballot, in Saturday's issue. I venture one more suggestion against the secrecy of the vote. After recording mine at the Social Hall, Kemuera, I held the paper up to the light, and could distinctly trace the figures of my number in the folded corner, and drew the attention of tbe Returning Officer to this fact.—l am, etc., J.
