CRICKET.

[by telegbaph.—own correspondent.] Hamilton, Wednesday. Ax the Annual meeting of the Hamilton Cricket club—Mr. Percy Stevens in the chair— Treasurer reported a small credit balance from last year. The club last year had played five matches, winning four of them. Mr. J. B. Whyte was elected president, and Messrs. E. B. Cox and E. L. Smith vice-presidents, Mr. C. J. W. Barton treasurer, and Mr. Bindon secretary. Messrs. Stevens, Von Stunner and Rutherford were appointed a committee of management. A letter was read from the Cambridge Club, and referred to the committee, challenging to a match. The opening match of the season will be played on Saturday on Sydney Square, Hamilton, with the Paterangi Club, the Hamilton eleven being chosen from the following : — Barton, Bindon, Browning, Stevens, W. J* Smith, Gaudin, Sage, 1. Connolly, Hammond, Keep, E. B. Cox, Hopkins, and Andrew.
