ATTEMPT TO UPSET AN ELECTION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday, A well-known firm of solicitors have been asked by telegram from Auckland their opinion as to the legality of one of the Auckland elections. It is alleged that in the oase in question the Returning Officer accepted the nomination of one candidate without receiving a deposit of £10, and the opinion is asked whether the election is not null and void. The name of the electorate
has not been made public.
