New Zealand Herald Office, Wednesday evening. Mb. T. M. Jackson offered for sale at his rooms several properties in the city and suburbs, but, with one exception, they were all bought in.
Messrs. G. W. Binney and Son sold by auction at their rooms to-day 252 sacks Oamaru potatoes. They realised from 37s 6d to £2 2s per ton.
Mr. A. Buckland sold by auction, at his rooms to-day, the mortgage debt of £5000, due by the Apple Farm Company, Limited, on the 7th day of September, 18S8, to Theodore William Hickson, and by him submortgaged to secure £2000 and interest, the payment of which is secured over the property formerly known as the Otara Grove Farm, now the Apple Farm property, containing about 226 acres, and being lot 43 and parts of lots 42 and 46, in the Parish of Pakur< anga and County of Eden. Over 200 acres of the farm are planted with apple and citron fruit trees. The purchaser of this property acquires the right to have the sum of £5000 paid to him by the Apple Farm Company, Limited. The debt was purchased for £3200, Messrs. Newman, Fairbnrn, and Cairns being the purchasers. BUTTER AND EGOS. The Auckland Grocers' and Dairymen's Association quote* the wholesale price of Fresh Batter lOd per lb, fresh Kges 6d per dozen, delivered, for the week ending September 28,1887 The above quotations refer to prime quality only. The Frozen Meat Company quote shell brand butter lOd per lb wholesale oaly.
