ELECTRIC LIGHTING IN WELLINGTON.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRBSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. At the City Council to-night a letter was read fror Dr. Lemon stating that the Commissioner o£ Telegraphs had given him permission to advise the Council ro lighting the streets with electricity, and also as to the proper installation. Tbe Commissioner had also given him power to use the telegraph poles, and had granted each facilities as the Electric Lines Act will permit. Dr. Lemon had promised the Council the use of a dynamo of 400 lamp power, with which to make a practical test. The committee have not yet presented their report to the Council on the subject.
