BANKRUPTCY.
MEETINGS OF CREDITORS.
W. H. Hamlet.—A meeting of creditors in this estate was held at the Official Assignee's Office. It was resolved after nome discussion that the Official Assigned realise the estate to the best advantage, »nd facilitate the bankrupt's discharge.
William West.—This was an adjourned meeting, and there was a good attendance of creditors. A motion was proposed, "That the previous resolution authorising the bankrupt's punishment under the penal clause be rescinded, and that the Assignee be authorised to accept the offer of £100, and withdraw all farther opposition to the debtor's discbarge." This was proposed by Air. Kendall and seconded by Mr. Bartley. To this an amendment was proposed, " That in view of Mr. Cave's opinion, showing that the bankrupt cannot be brought up for public examination, the Assignee be re* quested to arrange for the bankrupt's prosecution under the provisions of section 163. for misdemeanor, as soggestsd by Mr. Cave." The amendment waa moved by Mr. Carr and seconded by Mr. Morrison, and carried both numerically and on value.
