London, September 15. Consols remain at 101 J. New Zealand inscribed stock is 99£. The Bank of England weekly returns show the total reserve in notes and bullion to be £11,600,000, an increase of £200,000 during the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities has advanced from 43 to 44 per cent. The bank rate of discount remains at 4 per cent., and the market rate at 97 Og. Colonial breadstuff's and tallow are without quotable change. LONDON WOOL SALES. London, September 15 At the wool sales to-day 11,000 bales were offered, when the prices showed a hardening tendency. Greasy and good combing scoured are about the same as the closing rates last sales. Medium combing scoured ruled a halfpenny lower, and faulty scoured about a penny lower, than the closing rates at last sales. Since the opening of the series 10,000 bales have been withdrawn, out of a total of 101,000 offered. BANK OF A USTRALASIA. London, September 15. The Bank of Australasia has declared a dividend at the rate of 13£ per cent, per annum, and carried forward and placed to the revenue a sum of £14,000.
