ONEHUNGA IRONWORKS.
We learn that the Onehunga ironworks will commence active operations to-day, arrangements having beon made with a Mr. Hughes, of Sydney, who has taken over the works." It is his intention to carry on tho smelting of the sand, a work which he has had a good deal of experience in elsewhere. For this purposo Mr. Hughes brought with him from Australia a dozen workmen, who are proficient in the industry. They are settled in Unehunga, and ere lone we hopu to record a far greater number beiug employed at tho works.
