Onco again the three»m<isted schooner Elinor "VorDon has come into port, and as upon previous visita, she is from New York via Dunodio. 7.'he barque is still under the command of •Captain Barry, but upon the present voyage a most pernistent run of ill-luck has attended the Bchoonsr, to such an extent that the voyage from New York to Dunedin extended out to something like 140 days, which was accounted for by pereistent bad and adverse weather ; and now. on the run tip fum Dunedin, the same ill winds have followed the vessel, so as to stretch cut the passage to over the ordinary average. Despite this, however, Captain Berry deserves credit for the clean state in which he has brought his vessel into port. The Elinor Ver«toon will bo berthed at the Hallway Wharf tocay, thero to land her New York cargo, and tipon completion of this she is to load up with ianri gum back to her original port of de« parture. The eteamibip Doric, hence for Wellington and other Southern porta and London, took Tier departure yesterday morning prompt to Jier announced time, 8 a.m. [ The s.s. Clnnsinan arrived from Rusnell ,/festerday mining, and, left again last evening fbound for Tauranga. The lona, for Meroury ■Bay and Tairua; the Wellington, for Whan- ! garoi ; and the Douglas, lor Opotiki, also took '-their departures during the course of the evenfling- ! The brlgantine Parnoll was docked yesterday ''morning;, and sho is to receive a thorough overhaul. The eohooner Qjsen was during the morning brought out of dock, and is now ('loading again for Hoktanga. Respecting the 'Pftinoll, it is a matter of surprise, seeing the 'very broken state of her copper, how Captain :.Mclsa:>cs managed to make so good a passage across from Newcastle. Tenders are now being called for the work of stripping, rtnaulklng, and recoppering the brigantine. : The schooner Waiwera cleared outwards at •the Customs yesterday for Norfolk Island, and she is to »Ail with tho first favourable change of wind. ' The barque Wenona, In continuation of her voyage to Dunedin, took her departuro yeeter* flay afternoon. The ketch Kecamia is expected to sail from Halensvilie for New Plymouth, with a cargo of timber, to-day. The schoonor Louie, which was signalled during a greater portion of the previous day, arrived in harbour yesterday morning, in tow of the tug Black Diamond, and soon afterwards was berthed at; the Railway Wharf, where tho work of landing her cargo of fruit is to be parried on. Tho homeward voyage of the Louie extended out to 24 days, and tb'ie was , attributable to the long succession of head and variable woathor met with, and the last four days of the voyage became an almost drifting match ; for it took the Louie that time to work from inside the Great Barrier into port. Xtasplte this long passage, the vessel has brought her cargo into port in capital order.
