INTIMIDATION AT WELLINGTON.

[BY TELEGRAPH, —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, Richard Goss, Joseph Benson, Richard Burn 3, John Burns, William Marriott, Vincent Dentice, and P. Harvey, were charged with having, on the 6th inst., unlawfully conspired to molest, injure, and obstruct Charles Edwards, an employ<s in the employment of Mr. J. E. Potter, and with having followed him about in a disorderly manner, and used violence towards him with a *iew to coerce him into quitting his employment. The evidence showed that the prosecutor when leaving work was set on by a crowd of about 40 or 50, who, after kicking him twice or three times, carried him to the water's edge and threats were made to throw him in, but a gentleman interfered. The whole of the defendants, with the exception of Dentice, were committed for trial, bail being allowed.
