WAIKATO HORTICULTURAL ASSOCIATION'S SHOW.

[BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] Tit Awamotcj, Thursday. The third annual exhibition of the above association has been held this year under more than exceptionally advantageous circumstances. The list of entries for fruit, flowers, and vegetables does not, perhaps, come quite op to preceding exhibitions, bat the long list of entries for some fifty-six special prizes of great variety, added a quite unusual and very attractive feature to the clay's proceedings. Yesterday, and even at an early hour this morning, the weather indications were decidedly unfavourable, but an hour after daylight the sky cleared, and VVaikato's gala day was favoured with bright sunny weather. A large number of visitors arrived overnight wjth their exhibits, and some to assist the local committee with their experience in setting the hail and tablet. Tbe former was tastefully and gaily adorned with flags and banners and greenery, amongst which glittered in stars and other shapes the arms and swords of our local troop. Extra accommodation contiguous to the hall had been provided for some of the agricultural portion of the exhibits. Everything was so well planned by the committee and faithfully carried out, that not a hitch occurred ; and the strains of Sibley's excellent band throughout the day added to the general enjoyment. The following is the lint of exhibits and winners of the several prizes :— ALL COMERS. Judges: Messrs. McDonald and Wren. Pol -Petunias, collection of 5 : F.R. Moody, Ist prize.
