STRANGE DISAPPEARANCE.

[BY telegraph.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Cambridge, Tuesday. Mr. Jamf.s Simpson, partner in the firm of Lewis and Simpson, ironmongers, of this town, left his residence, Salthurst, near Cambridge, on Sunday evening last about seven p.m., and has not been heard of since, nor can any trace of him be found. No reason whatever can be assigned for the disappearance. Mr. Simpson is somewhat of an eccentric character, and quite receutly took a holiday trip to Sydney without acquainting his friends till after he had taken his passage. Some anxiety is felt by Mr. Simpson's friends as to his whereabouts on this occasion, but they think that he will turn up all right in the course of the next day or so.
