THE IMPORTATION OF STOCK.
[by TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christohurch, Friday. At a meeting of the committee of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association to-day, Mr. John Dean moved a resolution, to the effect that the time had arrived for the opening of New Zealand ports to the importation of stock. Mr. John Grigg moved an amendment, " That it was inexpedient to promote the admission of stock from countries where disease prevails." The committee finally decided to postpone the matter to the annual meeting in March.
